Today on campus, we hosted our Cycle 2 Review & Prep Workday led by Debbie Featherston. Participants reviewed items from the Cycle Prep and Guidance Document, discussed new and updated reporting requirements, and took time to verify and clean up data in preparation for the upcoming Cycle 2 state reporting submission.

This required PD supported new CTE teachers within their first 3 years, providing them with valuable guidance and collaboration. This afternoon, participants will meet with specialists in their program areas to develop plans for a successful school year. Today we launched an exciting new journey on campus with the first planning workshop for the upcoming LEGO Spike Robotics Competition! At this meeting, teachers were able to share ideas and help design the competition format. They also learned more about LEGO Spike Robotics, collaborated on rules and event design, and were able to connect with other teachers/coaches to help shape a fun and memorable experience for the students in our district. Thanks to Amber Cobb for putting this workshop together!

The Cognitive Coaching Foundation Seminar kicked off with a powerful start this week, two days engaging educators in deep learning around building resilience and self-directedness in students, teachers, and administrators.
This intensive, on-site training empowers participants with tools to enhance professional conversations, support growth, and foster deeper thinking. At the end of all 8 sessions, led by Curtis Cunningham, participants will be certified Cognitive Coaches!

The GFESC Technology Coordinator just wrapped up an intense two day training with our CIRT (Cyber Incident Response Team)! 💻✨ Technology Coordinators from 14 of the 15 Arkansas Education Service Cooperatives participated. Big thanks to our ACTCs (Arkansas Cooperative Technology Coordinators) and SAS OST (Shared Administrative Service - Office of State Technology) for their dedication. We updated our Go-Bags, trained with multiple incident response tools, and strategized responses for potential email compromises. 💪🔒
