Educators joined us for a two-day deep dive into the Sonday System Reading Intervention Program!
⭐️Day 1: Sonday System 1
Participants explored the foundations of Multisensory Teaching Methodology and Orton-Gillingham-based instruction, gaining hands-on experience with Sonday materials and practical strategies to support struggling readers.
⭐️Day 2: Sonday System 2
Building on those foundations, educators expanded their knowledge of Syllable Types, Prefixes, Suffixes, Roots, and Vocabulary instruction—enhancing their ability to deliver effective, evidence-based reading interventions.

GT Students from Mansfield, Fort Smith, Ramsey, Lavaca, Paris, and Cedarville were onsite today at GFESC to watch a performance of Theatre Squared “The Shakespeare Show” - A 45 minute educational and comedic performance that introduces students to Major Shakespearean tragedies through a conferenced fast paced narrative.

On campus today at GFESC, educators gathered for the UFLI Implementation Training! Participants received an in-depth overview of the University of Florida Literacy Institute (UFLI) Foundations program. The training included essential background knowledge, practice with the 8 steps of the program, guidance on progress monitoring and differentiation, and strategies to support strong implementation fidelity.
Teachers also had the chance to see lessons modeled and engage in hands-on practice to strengthen literacy instruction for their students. 💡🙌🏻

Today at GFESC, we hosted the CTE Pathway Revision Training with ADE-DCTE!
Educators reviewed the upcoming pathway revisions launching in 2026–2027, explored aligned curriculum and certifications, and gained insight into how these updates will support student recognition through Merit and Distinction.
