GFESC was excited to host Developing Tier 2 Systems for School-Wide Positive Behavior Supports (SWPBS)—bringing together dedicated school behavior teams focused on strengthening support for students who need it most.
Throughout this workshop, participants deepened their understanding of Tier 2 systems, explored the Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI), and worked through key components like identifying students in need of support, progress monitoring, and ensuring fidelity of implementation. Most importantly, each team walked away with a clear, actionable plan to enhance Tier 2 support within their own schools. 👏

Special Education & Related Services: Relating Related Services – The Role of OT, PT, and SLP in the School Setting brought together professionals to explore how occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists play a vital role in supporting student success.
Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on evidence-based practices, High Leverage Practices, and strategies to ensure students receive the support they need in the least restrictive environment. This session highlighted the importance of teamwork and coherence across special education services to better serve all learners.

This hands-on session provided practical tools and guidance to help districts assess readiness and plan for upcoming policy requirements taking effect July 1, 2026. Participants explored key components of the ADE K–12 Cybersecurity Policy while collaborating and networking with peers from across the region—working together toward stronger, safer systems for our schools.

Today marked Day 3 of the Secondary Building the Base EL Teacher Cohort, bringing this three-day institute to a close. Throughout the series, educators have built a strong foundation in English Learner/Multilingual Learner pedagogy—deepening their understanding of language acquisition, student needs, and effective instructional strategies.
Participants explored ways to create inclusive, student-centered classrooms with meaningful opportunities for student talk, while also strengthening their ability to design instruction that makes content accessible for all learners.
