Educators joined us for a two-day deep dive into the Sonday System Reading Intervention Program! ⭐️Day 1: Sonday System 1 Participants explored the foundations of Multisensory Teaching Methodology and Orton-Gillingham-based instruction, gaining hands-on experience with Sonday materials and practical strategies to support struggling readers. ⭐️Day 2: Sonday System 2 Building on those foundations, educators expanded their knowledge of Syllable Types, Prefixes, Suffixes, Roots, and Vocabulary instruction—enhancing their ability to deliver effective, evidence-based reading interventions. On campus today at GFESC, educators gathered for the UFLI Implementation Training! Participants received an in-depth overview of the University of Florida Literacy Institute (UFLI) Foundations program. The training included essential background knowledge, practice with the 8 steps of the program, guidance on progress monitoring and differentiation, and strategies to support strong implementation fidelity.
