Position Title: School Psychology Specialist / Educational Examiner

Position Overview:
Guy Fenter Education Service Cooperative is seeking a qualified School Psychology Specialist/Educational Examiner to join our School Psychology Consortium. This position supports member school districts by conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assisting school personnel in identifying and addressing student learning and behavioral needs in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for special education services in compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Arkansas Department of Education Rules and Regulations.
Administer and interpret standardized psychological and educational assessments.
Prepare clear, comprehensive written evaluation reports, including data analysis and eligibility recommendations for special education services.
Review and analyze student records, including academic history, intervention data, and previous evaluations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine student eligibility and educational needs.
Provide consultation and support to teachers and school staff regarding instructional strategies, behavioral supports, and intervention planning.
Participate in required meetings including evaluation conferences, eligibility determinations, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) team meetings as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all applicable timelines and procedural safeguards.
Support member districts by providing guidance on best practices in assessment, intervention, and student support services.
Qualifications:
Valid Arkansas licensure as a School Psychology Specialist or Educational Examiner (or eligibility for licensure).
Knowledge of IDEA regulations, Arkansas special education rules, and evaluation procedures.
Experience administering and interpreting psychoeducational assessments.
Strong written communication skills for preparation of professional evaluation reports.
Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to supporting student success across diverse educational settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a school setting.
Familiarity with Arkansas special education eligibility criteria and processes.
Experience working collaboratively with multiple school districts.
